Donà Hartman worked in Terlano for eight years before starting his vineyard in 2002. His vineyard is 450 metres above sea level in Cornaiano, near Bolzano of Alto Adige. He takes care of underappreciated 40 to 50-year-old vines in the area planted on soils from glacial deposits. His motto is to create wines 'with elegance and harmony, with Alpine freshness and a mineral-rich quality'.
It is his philosophy to adopt sustainable production processes in the vineyards and the cellar. The wines express a remarkable capacity for development and are therefore extraordinarily long-lived.
The Chardonnay is born of limestone-clayey soils, where it develops its typical aroma of ripe tropical fruit and its mellow, warm taste. Thanks to a well-integrated acidity, it presents a fresh and robust finish that is an invitation to continue tasting it.
