L'Agassant d'Agassac is the chateau's second wine, is made gravel soils. It is one of the most sought after and award wining wine in the Haut-Medoc region. …But seriously, have you ever tasted a Bordeaux which didn’t take itself too seriously ? Challenging the strict codes and homogenisation of taste, ‘L’Agassantd’Agassac’ is the enfant terrible of the Château D’Agassac; a Médoc which is uninhibited, concentrated, silky, fruity and moreish, and a perfect partner for all types of cuisine.

Tasting Notes

- To the eye: Beautifully deep garnet color with light violet hints, offering a nice intensity.

- First nose: The warm, welcoming, spicy bouquet is dominated by intense jammy macerated fruits notes and balsamic scents. With good intensity , after a few seconds it develops a set of black fruits like blackcurrant and black berry.

- After airing: After a little oxygenation, the small of stewed fruits is strengthened and let appear clove and pepper notes. It then evolves to complex scents of blackcherry jam, sustained by tertiary aromas of incense smoke.

- On the palate: the wine is soft and mild in the attack, with velvety and spicy tannins offering a creamy impression.
