Description

The Land

The vines are planted at an altitude of 300-350 metres above sea level, on limestone soils rich in skeletal elements. 


Vinification

Once the Valpolicella Classico vintage is produced, it is re-fermented in April, for about 20 days on the still intact pomace of Recioto (the traditional method of "ripasso"). This process produces a wine with higher alcohol levels, colour, more extraction and refined tannins. It is enriched with new, more complex aromas and perfumes. 


The Wine

The perfume of red fruits such as maraca cherry, cherry liqueur and spices is immediately noticeable on the nose. Ageing in tonneau barrels gives a well-balanced balsamic aroma.
